For New Mexico Orders
We are required by law to charge sales tax (NM Gross Receipt Tax) to ALL orders shipped to, or picked up in, New Mexico.
Generally pickups are 5-5:30PM Monday-Saturday at the corner of Juan Tabo and Eubank in the Mountain Run Shopping Center in Northeast Albuquerque.
If you do want shipping rather than pick-up, we are more than happy to ship to your New Mexico address.
We will also ship internationally. Our system is already set up to accept orders from 87 countries around the world. Note we only charge ACTUAL shipping, and refund you any "overcharge." The website does overestimate shipping, a little, as it is hard for it to distinguish between a tin of sardines (small), and a jar of Griottines (large).
Please note that while we will do everything possible to make sure your order arrives safely, we cannot be held responsible for non-delivery of your package once it enters your country due to the various postal systems worldwide and their varying degrees of reliability. We will work through the US Postal Service and ask that you contact your local post offices to help facilitate delivery of your boxes should they be delayed or lost in your country.
In addition, our credit card processor, at times, asks us to hold off on shipping until they can confirm valid funds and a valid shipping address in other countries. This rarely happens (once in 14 years), but when it does we are required to hold off on shipping until our credit card processor tells us everything is valid. We will email you if this occurs and keep communication lines open as we do everything possible to get your items to you. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Shipping estimates are based on United States Postal Service Priority Mail service. This allows us to ship anywhere in the 50 United States, US Territories, AP/AE addresses and internationally in a straightforward, understandable manner. Priority Mail is estimated to be a 2-3 day service but is not guaranteed by the United States Postal Service to be delivered in that time frame. We do offer, for an additional charge, overnight, 2-day and 3-day shipping options which you can select at checkout.
We strongly encourage everyone to take advantage of our FREE SHIPPING option on orders of $50 or more for orders in the USA, US Territories and AP/AE addresses.
We are a "negative materials" shipping company. This means we reuse the materials that are sent to us by our suppliers. We have discussed with them what they use, and when they use "packing peanuts" they are using peanuts that can be recycled (PELASPAN® PAC packaging peanuts are recyclable, do not pollute groundwater, and are manufactured without CFCs.) We use a mix, based on what our suppliers have sent us, of peanuts, crinkle paper, bubble wrap, and honeycomb packing craft paper.
We also believe in "full cycle Eco-Friendly". As much as people want to see minimal packing, that means maximum possibility for breakage. So if one olive tree produces one bottle of extra virgin olive oil a year, with all the water that tree needs, plus harvest, plus pressing, plus bottling, plus shipping to us, plus shipping to you, we really want that bottle to make it to you in perfect condition. If it breaks, because we chose not to use a piece of bubble wrap, or a handful of packing peanuts, replacing it is a HUGE environmental impact in comparison. Thus we wrap every product carefully.
Gourmet Delights carries a large inventory of products in an attempt to give our valued customers many buying options. We do everything possible to keep all items in stock. Unfortunately, unexpected shortages at our importers, delays in customs, unexpected large orders which quickly deplete our stock and other situations may cause an item to be temporarily out of stock and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We cannot guarantee your order will be shipped until all your items are received in our store and we do a physical inventory of stock on hand. If an item is determined to be out of stock, we will contact you right away to notify you of its expected arrival date and give you the opportunity to select another item for purchase if you so desire. Please be sure to give us at least an email address and phone number when you order so we may contact you if necessary. We prefer to call you personally and thus greatly appreciate you providing a phone number. We will never give or sell your personal information to a 3rd party or use it to contact you other than for official Gourmet-Delights.com business. Thank you.
