Shallot Confit (L’Epicurien)
ReviewsAverage rating: 2 reviews Write a review | Read all reviews Featured positive reviews:I use soffrittos and confits like this quite often. I substitute them for a true ragu to make the base for simple but singing pasta sauces. This will be amazing with savory crepes. Anything off the grill, but especially burgers, should get a small topping of this confit. Try it in simple tacos with a carne asada like diced steak. Putting this on eggs is too easy, but I cannot stop doing it. Bake in phyllo with brie. These caramelized shallots have a mellow, rich, and complex depth of flavor and are so easy to pair with a cheese and cracker plate. Unexpected guests stopping by? Not a problem as long as I have this confit and water crackers in the pantry! |
