The Spanish believe canned seafood is a delicacy to be shared and enjoyed! They take great pride, and great care, to harvest the best seafood and package it with the utmost care. The result is the purest, most delicate, and exquisite tasting seafood on the planet! A true delicacy.

Conservas de Cambados is based in Galicia in Northeast Spain. This is the region of the Arousa Ría, which is well-known not just for its size, but also for the richness of its marine life. This area is particularly suitable for harvesting clams, cockles, mussels, and other bi-valves.

Razor clams (Navajas) are long, slender clams with a wonderfully rich flavor and firm texture. These perfectly cleaned clams are hand-harvested and then hand-packed in their own seawater. We eat them straight out of the can. You can also warm them in a skillet with garlic and extra virgin olive oil, or for some novelty we suggest you lightly grill them. You may also want to try adding a small squeeze of lemon, a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, and some crusty bread.

Elegant and mild 02/04/2013

These have a lovely mild flavor and pleasant texture. At the same time, they are large and could be grilled or sauteed or just dipped in something. They are surprisingly large, which makes them unusually useful.

A happy surprise 03/10/2013

I'd always been of the "get all your seafood fresh" school but decided to give these a try. They are so tasty, firmer textured than I'd have expected from a clam, and perfect for a snack. Now I'm curious to try them grilled....

Tender and briny. We ate these on their own. Next time, I'll get these to add to pasta.
