I might never have had olive oil before. This tastes like a little drop of heaven landed on your tongue. If I could give it 10 stars out of 5, I would.
I ended up buying two more bottles as soon as I tasted the first one.

The annual tasting of freshly pressed olive oil is a generations old tradition in Italy. Green olives are harvested, and pressed just in time for the holiday season. Unlike other olive oils, these Novello (meaning new or fresh in Southern Italy; in Northern Italy they use the term Nuovo) extra virgin olive oils do not spend any time in the settling tank which yields a zesty olive oil. One must taste these truly fresh extra virgin olive oils and experience their fabulous vibrancy in order to understand why food loving Italians look forward to the yearly Novello release!
