In 1982 L’Epicurien was a simple delicatessen in Paris. But 15 years later Mr. Bernard Le Gulvout decided to focus exclusively on the traditional production of jam, and savory products.
In 1997 he moved to the Languedoc Roussillon region of France, known for their high quality fruits and vegetables, so he could have direct access to the region's finest farms.
He has successfully established solid, long-term relationships with the farmers, and thus has a guaranteed supply of top quality ingredients which enables him to create the best tasting, highest quality, fruit and vegetable confits in the world.
This slightly sweet confit made with Calvados, an apple brandy, and apple cider is divine. Create a cheese plate or incorporate this confit into a recipe, however you use it, you will not be disappointed. This confit pairs well with Camembert or Brie, and a nice white wine.
