Mathus, also called a cork-turner from the French tourne-bouchon, and known in the USA as an "Ah-so", is a blade corkscrew inspired by models that were highly popular in the 19th century. It draws the cork from the bottle without piercing the cork: perfect for older bottles with corks that tend to crumble.
This has a gorgeous dark chrome handle, and basalt soft touch cover.
We love the larger handle of this wine opener, it fits our hand perfectly and makes pulling the cork that much easier. We threw away our smaller one the minute we added this one to our kitchen.
