The Spanish believe canned seafood is a delicacy to be shared and enjoyed! They take great pride, and great care, to harvest the best seafood and package it with the utmost care. The result is the purest, most delicate, and exquisite tasting seafood on the planet! A true delicacy.

Do NOT be fooled by other sardines. Conservas de Cambados makes a "Gourmet" line, which is their highest quality, and the ONLY ones we sell. "Gourmet" is clearly at the top of the front label as shown in the photo, the "Conservas de Cambados" logo is prominently displayed, and the tin is a rectangular with rounded corners. Their other line "Bogar/Alamar" is made with imported seafood (not from Spain) or with lower quality seafood from outside of Galicia.

When in doubt verify the front label says "Gourmet" at the top, "Made in Spain by CONSERVAS DE CAMBADOS, S.A. FDA 15066" at the bottom, shows the "Conservas de Cambados" logo, and it is in a rectangular tin with rounded corners.

Amazing 10/03/2013
By Kevin
These are the most amazingly delicious sardines I have ever tasted. I usually get my sardines from whole foods and always thought they were great until now. The olive oil makes all the difference... a little buttery. The fish is intact with good texture. What a treat.

These lovely little sardines are the best I've ever had. Packed in a high grade olive oil that is good all on it's own to drizzle on bread!0.

I conquered my fear. 02/26/2013

I gotta tell you, I approaches these with trepidation. I have NEVER eaten sardines from a can. My dad used to love them. I couldn't stand to smell them. Well, we made a Mediterranean-type salad for dinner last night (my wife's idea), based on the salads we ate nearly every day in Spain last summer. I put 5 of these on top of the chopped lettuce, with tomatoes, green olives, thinly sliced onion and quartered hard-boiled eggs..and wow... rich and filling, with a taste much like tuna.

The sardines in olive oil (Conservas de Cambados) were divine! They are firm, not too oily, delicious on cracker or toast with red onion. Best I've ever had. I will definitely reorder these. Shopping with Gourmet Delights is super easy & fast.
